Can you believe that Sophie is already
1 year old? I can't. It's amazing how this last year with little Sophia Lane Martin has just flown by. Rob and I have absolutely loved every minute of being her parents. We feel so blessed that Heavenly Father sent us this beautiful, happy, healthy baby girl. Every day with her is so much fun as we watch her grow and experience new things. We can't wait to see what this world has in store for her, or what she has in store for this world. Happy 1st birthday Sophie!!

Here are mom, Sophie and I hard at work in the kitchen. As you can see, Sophie is the best helper that anyone could ask for.

Sophie wasn't to sure what to think about the decorations, but she had lots of fun playing with the balloons and these little hanging things.

Here we are enjoying a very tasty dinner. Rob's mom made her delicious teriyaki which Rob barbecued to perfection, and my mom and I made potato salad, fruit salad, homemade rolls and rice. Everything turned out perfect, and the best part, there was enough food leftover for the next day!
Does this cake look tasty or what? We ordered Sophie's birthday cake from a bakery called Bread Basket. We took Chris' good advice and ordered a chocolate cake with a raspberry filling, and yes it was as good as it looks. Yummy!!

Well, it wouldn't officially be a 1st birthday party if we didn't let Sophie have a piece of cake. As you can see, she definitely was enjoying herself.
More cake please!!
Here are a few pictures of some of the gifts that Sophie got. Everyone was so generous and she seemed to love everything that she got, although her favorite gift seemed to be that little ball she is holding. We all thought it was pretty funny that her favorite gift was the $1.99 ball she got from her grandparents.

These photos are so fun! It made me sad to think we missed her special day. I'm happy she has so much family that loves her. She is lucky little 1 yr. old!
